It was painful to see what was once a nationwide prefab home manufacturer forced to consolidate back to a single state, especially Blu Homes who had opened a huge plant on Mare Island in California just a few years ago.
A lot of things plagued Blu Homes over the years. After leaving their huge factory and going through three CEOs in less than a year. Bill Haney, one of the founders, had stepped down from that position and was first replaced by Kaitlin Haggerty on June 1st of 2016. Then Zephan McMinn, an attorney and an employee at Blu Homes since April 2015, took over the reins of CEO and led Blu Homes to their next step in their evolution.
Sorta makes one ask why all those hundreds of millions of dollars that investors poured into Blu Homes didn’t make this work out.
But now there is some interesting news coming out about Blu Homes. It seems they were just purchased by Delve. All I can say about this is “Good Luck Delve”, you’re going to need it.
